MONSTER TAXI

Monster Taxi, a moniker used by producer Jason Klein, has been associated with over 20 major label productions and remixes. He has worked with major artists such as Mariah Carey, Jim Brickman, Ricky Martin, and Savage Garden. He's also worked with a number of Latin artists including Noelia, Los Tigres Del Norte, Emmanuel and Christian Castro, along with a remix of the late Beny More's music. His production of More's "Bonito y Sabroso" went to #1 on various Latin radio stations. A video was also released that both aired and charted on Latin video shows including Mun2's "The Roof" and HTV.

Klein started out playing in classic rock bands, until he discovered techno and dance music. He spent three years working with DJ Grego as his keyboard player. Klein later created his own production company, releasing dance versions of the operas "Ave Maria" and "Barber of Serville (Figaro)." Since 2004, Klein has licensed several of his tracks under his label Toy Robot Records to Ministry of Sound, Universal Music and Sony/BMG. Monster Taxi has recently worked with dance divas Pepper Mashay and Rachel Panay, along with covering the classic Foxy hit "Get Off", which included two original members of Foxy. Klein also created his own publishing company, which is now administered by Universal Music. Monster Taxi and Klein have both been featured several times in Billboard Magazine and have charted on several radio and record pool charts.

Most recently, Klein is promoting a new single called "Boogie Makes A Splash." The song was inspired by a porn flick starring Cytherea and Belladonna. Klein first heard about Cytherea while listening to The Howard Stern show. His local radio station, however, kept censoring the interview Stern was having with Cytherea since it was still on terrestrial radio.

Two weeks later, a friend from Universal Music and Ministry of Sound requested a new single from Monster Taxi for an upcoming compilation. Klein enlisted classic rock singer Marco Cocchiaro and DJ's Austin Leeds and Ben Grassini, giving birth to "Boogie Makes A Splash". They also created Disco, Funk and House mixes.

The "XXX Wet Mix" of "Boogie Makes A Splash" became a part of Ministry of Sound Annual 2006 for South America edition. Klein also enlisted his mentors DJ Grego and DJ Cubanito to do Tribal and House remixes. Other remixes included Andy Sikorski's Mirror Disco, Playground Superstar's Electro and a Heavy Metal version by DJ Monchi.

A full-length Monster Taxi album is slated for a September 2006 release.
